In the span of seven second-half minutes, Tottenham burst to life against their London rivals West Ham in the early Premier League kick-off on Saturday.

With the score at 1-1 heading into half-time, a 53rd-minute goal from Yves Bissouma kickstarted a whirlwind period for the home side — and one to forget for the Hammers.

Heung-min Son, returning to the Spurs side after missing several games thanks to a hamstring problem picked up during Europa League action, was at the heart of the three-goal blitz.

He followed Bissouma's 2-1 goal by forcing Alphonse Areola into conceding an own goal, before making it 4-1 himself in what ended up being the full-time score.

His attacking flair throughout the salvo was something to behold, too, with renowned football journalist Miguel Delaney comparing the South Korean's contributions to the legendary Eric Cantona.

Even football fans with no love lost for either side were impressed, as one social media account with a 'CFC' username admitted Son was "phenomenal" during the game.

And with Ange Postcoglou's side frustrated with their stuttering start to the season so far, such a breathtaking sequence to take full command against a fellow London side could prove to be a seminal moment in the Spurs 2024/25 campaign.
