After 17 regular season games, and a wild-card matchup with the ChargersTexans have locked in a spot for the divisional round of the playoffs.

Houston has dealt with some injuries this season but still won its division with a 10-7 record and secured a home playoff game. With a win against Los Angeles on Saturday, there are three possible sides the Texans could face in the divisional round.

Here's the full breakdown of who the Texans could play in the second round of the 2025 playoffs.

Who will the Texans play in the divisional round?

With seven teams making the AFC playoff bracket, and the lowest remaining seed traveling to face the Chiefs in the divisional round, there are a variety of opponents Houston could take on next. Here are the scenarios for the Texans:

No. 1 Chiefs

With the Texans being the fourth seed, this scenario is the most straightforward.

If the third-seeded Ravens beat the Steelers in Round 1 and the second-seeded Bills beat the Broncos, then the Texans will travel to Kansas City in the divisional round. Things would change, though, if either Buffalo or Baltimore is upset.

No. 2 Bills

In this scenario, the sixth-seeded Steelers would have to upset the Ravens in the first round, while the Bills would have to beat the Broncos.

That would automatically make Pittsburgh the lowest-remaining seed, sending the Steelers to face the Chiefs next. Houston would then travel to Buffalo to face the Bills.

No. 3 Ravens

Baltimore took down Pittsburgh on Saturday, setting up potential date with the Texans in the AFC Divisional — as long as the Broncos beat the Bills.

If Denver does upset Buffalo, Houston would have to travel to Baltimore for their second duel of the season. The Ravens blitzed past the Texans, 31-2, on Christmas.
