In his rookie season, Jayden Daniels is leading the Commanders to a level of success not many could have predicted. Daniels, however, may have been the one who did predict that this day would come.

While he moves with a calm sense of humility, Daniels' unique confidence has allowed him to lead Washington to the NFC Championship in his first year of pro football. After the Commanders' impressive win over the Lions in the divisional round, fans unearthed an old post on X where Daniels called his shot.

Here's more on Daniels' old post and why it went viral following Washington's win over Detroit.

Jayden Daniels old tweet, explained

On July 24, 2014, Daniels posted "One day you guys gonna here (sic) my name everywhere," along with a series of emojis on X.

Daniels was born on Dec. 18, 2000, meaning he was only 13 years old when he made the post. Daniels began his high school football career in 2015, meaning this prophetic post came as he was gearing up for his final year of middle school.

It's safe to say he was on to something.

After earning All-American honors as a high schooler, Daniels was a three-year starter at Arizona State before transferring to LSU and ascending to superstardom.

During his second and final season with the Tigers, Daniels placed his name among football greats by winning the Heisman Trophy before he was selected second overall by Washington in 2024.

The decision has proven to be a major win for both parties.

10 years and five months after his prophetic post, Daniels added another accomplishment to one of the most impressive rookie seasons in NFL history. In Washington's 45-31 win over Detroit, Daniels threw for 299 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for another 51 yards.

With the win, the Commanders are set to play in the NFC Championship for the first time in 33 years. It wouldn't have been possible without Daniels and his 350 yards of total offense,

As Washington looks to continue its run and Daniels continues his otherworldly rookie campaign, we're all hearing his name everywhere. And rightfully so.
