This year, the College Football Playoff features a new format that expands the field from four to 12 title contenders.
The 2024-25 edition of the College Football Playoff includes the five highest-ranked conference champions and the next seven highest-ranked teams. The bracket will be filled out based on the final set of rankings from the CFP committee.
The top conference champions earn a bye and wait for an opponent in the quarterfinal round. The remaining teams will face off in the first round with the higher-seeded squads receiving home-field advantage.
