A star was born in Tempe this season as Arizona State RB Cam Skattebo went from a little-known tailback to fifth in Heisman Trophy voting. Even after falling short of a trip to New York for the Heisman ceremony, Skattebo still might have something to prove in the College Football Playoff.

Arizona State will face No. 5 Texas in the Peach Bowl, after the Longhorns defeated Clemson 38-24 in the first round on Dec. 21.

The Peach Bowl will kick off at 1 p.m. ET Wednesday, Jan. 1, with Arizona State facing Texas.
The Sun Devils will have the first playoff game of New Year's Day, as the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl will follow later in the day. Boise State will play in the Fiesta Bowl on New Year's Eve to ring in the quarterfinals and the new year.
