It's a new year for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and the season kicks off with the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
The championship, a 24-hour endurance race, features four different classes all competing on the track at the same time.
The four divisions include two prototype classes — Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) and Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) — and two sports-car classes — Grand Touring Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) and Grand Touring Daytona (GTD).
Each year, this event features countless stars of the racing world as well as up to 12 different manufacturers across the series’ four classes. That number of automakers grows to 17 when adding the Michelin Pilot Challenge series.
The manufacturers participating in the race include Acura, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Lamborghini, Lexus, McLaren, Mazda, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche.

Where to watch the Rolex 24 at Daytona
The first and final hours of the Rolex 24 will be on NBC’s main network, with USA Network set to broadcast nearly 15 hours of coverage between Saturday afternoon and Sunday at noon.
