The New England Patriots have been changing things up this offseason, moving on from several coaches and executives, including head coach Jerod Mayo and executive vice president of football business Robyn Glaser.
With those departures, there have been some interesting additions to the franchise as well.
On Monday, MassLive's Chris Cotillo reported that Boston Red Sox director of baseball analytics Joe McDonald left the baseball club to work in Foxboro as a senior analyst of football strategy.
This is the latest effort by New England to update their front office after having Bill Belichick run the department for nearly 25 years. The move has already been compared to the Cleveland Browns hiring Paul DePodesta, who had previously worked with the New York Mets.
