Top-seed Valdosta State will host No. 4 Minnesota this Saturday for a spot in the 2024 Division II football championship. 

The Blazers enter this game at 12-0, with a 7-0 record at home. Valdosta State defeated Virginia Union 49-14 last Saturday to advance to the semifinals. Throughout the playoffs, Valdosta State has defeated all opponents by at least two possessions. 

Minnesota State (11-3) enters this game as a tough visiting opponent, with seven of the team's 11 wins in 2024 coming on the road. Minnesota State defeated Bemidji State 27-23 last Saturday to advance to this round. 

This is the first time since 2012 that these two teams will meet on the gridiron, with the Blazers taking the 35-19 win in December.
