After an undefeated run through its first season in the American Athletic Conference, Army will look to capture the AAC title when it faces Tulane on Friday night.
The Black Knights won nine straight games to start the 2024 campaign before falling to Notre Dame on Nov. 23. They got back on track a week later with a 29-24 victory over UTSA, pushing their conference record to 8-0.
As usual, Army will heavily rely on a ground-and-pound attack led by quarterback Bryson Daily, who has racked up 1,348 rushing yards and 25 rushing touchdowns this season. While Daily has done most of his damage with his legs, he has shown the ability to punish opposing defenses with his arm, throwing for 190 yards and one touchdown in the win against UTSA.
Tulane won't be intimidated, though, as it will be heading into its third straight AAC championship game after defeating UCF in 2022 and losing to SMU in 2023. The Green Wave will be hoping for a bounce-back performance from running back Makhi Hughes, who is the 12th-leading rusher in the country (1,306 rushing yards) but was limited to just 15 yards against Memphis last week.
