Boise State is hoping that it can lock up a College Football Playoff berth on Friday night when it meets UNLV in the 2024 Mountain West championship game.
The story of the season for the Broncos has been junior running back Ashton Jeanty, who has totaled 2,288 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns in 12 games. However, the Heisman Trophy candidate was limited to just 3.9 yards per carry in the previous matchup between Boise State and UNLV, his lowest mark of the year.
Still, the Broncos managed to escape with a 29-24 win against the Rebels back on Oct. 25. Boise State also defeated UNLV in last year's Mountain West title game, adding another layer to what could eventually become a new conference rivalry.
