As the Indianapolis Colts look to end their four-year playoff drought, there will be some tough decisions facing the front office.
Despite being one of the biggest weaknesses on the roster, the Colts seems to be a chance Indy moves on from a staple of the secondary.
At least, they should consider such a move in the eyes of Benjamin Solak of ESPN, who suggested cornerback Kenny Moore II could be on the trade block this offseason.
"[Cornerback] Kenny Moore II is another player teams could call about if the Colts bring in new brass and begin a teardown and rebuild," Solak wrote.
Granted, this was published before owner Jim Irsay decided to bring back general manager Chris Ballard and head coach Shane Steichen.
However, the arrival of a new defensive coordinator after the team cut ties with Gus Bradley does raise an interesting question of whether big-picture changes could take place.
One of the bigger success stories in recent memory for the Colts, Moore went from an undrafted free agent rookie to earning a $30 million contract that made him the highest-paid slot cornerback at the time.
The secondary is one of the biggest question marks on the roster entering the offseason so it may not make a whole lot of sense to part ways with Moore, who allowed an 83.6 passer rating on 74 targets in 2024, according to Pro Football Reference.
What the Colts ultimately decide to do this offseason will be interesting, but it would be a pretty big surprise if they parted ways with their top cornerback.
