The Houston Texans are in the midst of a back-and-forth game with the No. 1 seed in the AFC Kansas City Chiefs to kickoff Week 16 in the 2024 NFL season. And while they tied the game on a long touchdown pass from C.J. Stroud to Tank Dell, it seems to have come at a great cost.
Dell was hit in the knee as he made the catch by a combination of a Chiefs defensive back and fellow receiver Jared Wayne. Dell grabbed for his leg and trainers rushed onto the field. He was put on a stretcher and carted off the field after a long pause.
While the severity is yet to be known, it is clearly a serious one. And on top of it being a blow to the Texans' offense, it's another injury to a promising young receiver who suffered a torn ACL at the tail end of last season.
