The Dallas Cowboys are still alive in the hunt for a playoff spot with just three weeks to go in the regular season.
Dallas has a very small chance of actually earning a playoff spot. Dallas is 6-8 on the season and needs to win out to have any chance at all. There are many things that have helped make this the season that it has been.
There has been a plethora of high-impact injuries and inconsistent play, and the team didn't bring in too many weapons heading into the 2024 season. All of that has combined to form a tough season.
Things really haven't gone the Cowboys' way and now they are catching strays. Detroit Lions star running back Jahmyr Gibbs joined Kay Adams on the "Up & Adams" show and fired a shot at Dallas.
"Imagine if I was a Cowboy right now? I'd be so sick," Gibbs said when discussing the draft process and landing in Detroit.
If the Cowboys had Gibbs, maybe the season wouldn't have gone as it has. He has developed into a star with the Lions and has 1,047 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on the season so far with the No. 1-seed Lions.
Things just haven't gone the Cowboys' way, but they will look to keep their playoff hopes alive on Sunday as they face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Maybe the Cowboys will have a miracle over the final three weeks of the season.
