The New England Patriots have hired Mike Vrabel to be the next head coach of their franchise, replacing Jerod Mayo after one season that ended with a 4-13 record and landed them the fourth pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
Now, Vrabel and the Patriots are lining up candidates for their open coordinator jobs, and ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on Friday that they've requested to interview Los Angeles Chargers pass game coordinator Marcus Brady for the job.
Brady, 45, was a CFL quarterback from 2002-08 before switching to coaching in Canada from 2009-17. He jumped tot he NFL in 2018, starting as the Indianapolis Colts assistant quarterbacks coach and working his way up to offensive coordinator by 2021.
Before joining the Chargers in 2024, he spent the previous two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles as an offensive consultant and senior offensive assistant.
The only other known candidate to receive an interview or request at this point is Chicago Bears offensive coordinator and interim head coach Thomas Brown.
