The Houston Texans will be hosting a playoff game for the second consecutive year, but it's fair to say that their offense isn't nearly as explosive as it was a year ago. A lot of that has to do with injuries. Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and Stefon Diggs have all missed time with injuries this season, the latter of which was lost for the season with a torn ACL. The Texans' offensive line has also been brutal, which has led to C.J. Stroud being the second-most sacked quarterback in the NFL. However, the best medicine for a bad offensive line is a receiver who can separate quickly at the line of scrimmage, which is what the Texans could get if they claim Diontae Johnson off waivers.

The former Steeler was traded to the Panthers this past offseason before being moved once again to Baltimore before the trade deadline. However, Johnson was suspended by the Ravens for refusing to enter the game against the Philadelphia Eagles and was eventually released on Friday.

You can't have enough weapons in the NFL, especially if you're a Texans team who needs to develop more of a quick passing game, which Johnson is very capable of contributing to. Plus, other contenders will certainly have him on their radar. The Chiefs and Bills will definitely be talking about this, and the last thing anyone should want is more weapons for the Chiefs or Josh Allen getting another receiver to target. Houston should get this done and gear up for a potential long playoff run with as many weapons as they can get.
