Chicago fans knew on April 15 that the Sky would change forever when they selected Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese. The former SEC rivals, NCAA national champions and most anticipated rookies are now teaming up in their first year of the WNBA.
The Sky are far from the same team they were when they won the 2021 WNBA championship. Then, they had Candace Parker, Kahleah Copper and Courtney Vandersloot and were coached by James Wade. That's not the case this year, but that doesn't mean the Sky can't compete.
Former WNBA star Teresa Weatherspoon enters her first season as a coach in the league. She led her team to a win and a loss in the preseason, the victory being a 48-point win over the Liberty. The team has a lot of promise, with the rookies learning from Weatherspoon and Diamond DeShields, who was on the 2021 roster. Reese has already seemed to take after her mentors, scoring 13 points in each of the preseason games as well as 16 total rebounds.
Unfortunately for Cardoso, her professional debut will not come immediately. The former South Carolina star is sidelined for a few weeks with a shoulder injury. While Chicago fans will have to wait a bit to see her, the excitement for her first game will only build until then.

How to watch Sky games in 2024: TV channels, live streams

The Sky will have 24 games nationally televised this season. Those channels include ABC and ESPN family services, CBS and CBS Sports Network, Ion and NBA TV.
Some games will be streamed via Prime Video. Games on CBS, CBS Sports Network and ION can also be streamed on Fubo, while Sling will stream games on ABC, the ESPN networks and NBA TV. Games that are not broadcast can be streamed using WNBA League Pass.

Demand for tickets increased once Reese and Cardoso were selected in the 2024 draft. However, tickets to their games are still accessible. The cheapest seats for their season opener in Dallas are currently $15. Their home opener against the Sun at Wintrust Arena is selling for $51.
