The Seattle Seahawks beat up on another AFC team today, taking down the Miami Dolphins at home 24-3 to start the season 3-0. That gives them a commanding lead in the NFC West division, where every other team has started the year 1-2. However, there are a couple of pretty large clouds hanging over today's win. Specifically, the team's two most-important defensive linemen both went down with injuries at different points in the game.

In the first quarter, Leonard Williams left the field and spent some time in the medical tent. He was listed as questionable to return with a rib injury. Standout rookie Byron Murphy II was also injured later on and was seen limping off the field. He too was listed as questionable to return with a hamstring injury. Later, the team ruled both of them out.

There has been no update on what's going on with either as of yet. After the game, head coach Mike Macdonald had this to say.

As Macdonald said, the defense played brilliantly even without them. In the end they finished with five sacks and 12 quarterback hits while holding Miami to just 3.6 yards per carry in the ground game.

Hopefully we'll learn more before then, but we may not get a real update on either one until Thursday, when the team's first injury report of next week's Monday Night Football matchup with the Detroit Lions will be due.
