Penn State (2-0) will host Kent State (0-3) on Saturday afternoon in a matchup between two teams heading in completely different directions.

The Nittany Lions should have Beaver Stadium rocking after a bye week. James Franklin's squad opened the season on Aug. 31 with a beatdown of West Virginia, then narrowly defeated Bowling Green a week later.

Quarterback Drew Allar and the rest of the Nittany Lions' offensive unit should be ready to go. Equipped with an embarrassment of playmaking riches, including running backs Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen, Penn State ranks 10th in the nation in the latest AP poll.

Kent State, meanwhile, has its work cut out for it. The Golden Flashes rank 127th in scoring offense and 133rd in scoring defense. They got eviscerated by Tennessee last week, allowing the Volunteers to score 65 points in the first half on the way to a 71-0 victory.
