Chop Robinson is sidelined in Penn State's biggest game to date.
The NFL-level defensive end left with 10 minutes left in the second quarter against Ohio State, a crucial game when it comes to a Big Ten title. The Nittany Lions are looking for their first win over the Buckeyes in seven years, but it will be even more difficult without Robinson, their top pass rusher.
The game was tied 3-3 when the junior went down. Ohio State went on to score a touchdown on the drive to take the lead. Penn State kicked a field goal to trail only 10-6 at the half.
James Franklin provided no updates when the team returned to the game.
Chop Robinson injury update
Robinson left the game against Ohio State in the second quarter after a collision with Matthew Jones. There didn't seem to be an obvious injury, but Robinson was in pain immediately.
He laid facedown on the ground while medical staff attended to him. Eventually, he sat up and walked off the field, a towel draped over him head. The junior was then carted to the locker room. There is no official injury ruling yet.

Robinson, who is predicted to be a first-round draft pick for the NFL, earned pre-season second team All-American honors. Through five games this season, he's recorded nine total tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.
