While Boston dominated this season, earning the league's best regular season record two years after falling short in the championship series, Dallas is less expected. It maintained a solid season, earning a postseason berth after missing the playoffs last year. The Mavericks had a challenge ahead going into their conference finals matchup against the red hot Timberwolves. But they took care of business, downing Minnesota in just five games.
The Celtics won the teams' two regular season matchups handily. Luka Doncic's first finals appearance will bring out a different beast. The Slovenian star was dubbed Western Conference Finals MVP after outscoring the Timberwolves in just the first quarter of Game 5.
With his 36-point game, he also became the first NBA player ever to record at least 150 rebounds, 150 assists and 50 3-pointers in a single postseason.

The Mavericks will host at least two games this series at American Airlines Center with an additional possibility should the series reach Game 6. Following their win over Minnesota in the Western Conference Finals, the cheapest tickets for Games 3 and 4 were about $1,000, the later game costing a few extra hundred bucks.
