After the Boston Red Sox dropped the series opener to the Houston Astros on Monday at Minute Maid Park, the two teams will meet again Tuesday night.

For the matchup, Boston will send Nick Pivetta to the mound while Houston will counter with Ronel Blanco.

Pievtta has been all right for Boston this year, posting a 4.49 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP while striking out 123 batters in 19 starts. He's allowed three or fewer runs in four of his last five starts. Only two Astros have recorded hits against him in their careers - Jose Altuve (2-for-11 with a solo home run and three walks) and Alex Bregman (2-for-7 with a triple and a solo home run).

Blanco has been great for Houston in his 23 starts this year, posting  2.89 ERA (fifth in baseball) and a 1.01 WHIP (nine) while striking out 130 batters (tied for 39th). He's allowed three or fewer runs in his last three starts. Three Red Sox have recorded hits against him in his career - Jarren Duran (1-for-3), David Hamilton (1-for-2 with two RBIs) and Ceddanne Rafaela (1-for-1).
