The 124th U.S. Open will kick off Thursday at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club. The 156-golfer field will compete for the third major championship of the season.

Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele and Rory McIlroy, the top three players in the world, will tee off together in Round 1. After winning the Masters, the Players Championship and last weekend's Memorial Tournament, Scheffler is looking to add to his collection of hardware.

Other notable golfers include 15-time major champion Tiger Woods and reigning champion Wyndham Clark.
