When is Nelly Korda playing at Olympics? Schedule, tee time and how to watch golf at 2024 Paris Games image

Not since the peak days of Tiger Woods has a golfer come into any tournament so far clear of the chasing global pack, but as the 2024 Olympics women's golf competition begins, Nelly Korda is the overwhelming favourite to become the first back-to-back gold medal winner in the sport's history.

Having truly announced herself on the world stage with a Women's PGA Championship victory and gold medal Olympics win within a month of each other in 2021, Korda also comes into the 2024 Games off the back of her second success in a Major Championship.

The 26-year-old was victorious at April's Chevron Championship in Texas, defeating Sweden's Maja Stark and US compatriot Lauren Coughlin with a 13-under-par win. That second Major win, and the $1.2million prize which came with it, will no doubt spur Korda on as she chases her second gold medal.

With two of the world's top 10 players in tow as part of a three-strong USA team heading to Paris in 2024, Korda, Lilia Vu and Rose Zhang will all be looking to take a trio of medals back home Stateside following the conclusion of only the fourth-ever women's Olympic golf tournament.

When does Nelly Korda play at the 2024 Olympics?

The women's golf tournament at the 2024 Olympics Games will be held at Le Golf National course in Guyancourt, just outside Paris. The first round begins on Wednesday, August 7 and concludes with the final round on Saturday, August 10.

Each day of play lasts roughly nine hours, split between two parts as the 60 qualifiers from 32 different nations tee off in the early rounds, which will be played from the early morning through to noon Eastern Time.

Nelly Korda's golf record at the Olympic Games

Korda needs no introduction when it comes to Olympic golf, having claimed the gold medal three years ago at the delayed Tokyo 2020 Games in a dominant performance which saw her lead the field from the second round onwards.

The then-23-year-old had won her first major at the Women's PGA Championship just a few weeks prior to the tournament getting underway in Tokyo, and having trailed Sweden's Madelene Sagstrom at the end of day one, opened up a three-shot lead going into the final round.

That closing-day performance saw Korda run closely by Aditi Ashok, Lydia Ko and Mone Inami across four stanzas of play, but eventually won out over Ko and Inami (who were tied for second place before a sudden-death playoff) by a single shot to seal the gold medal with a total score of 167 at 17 under-par.
