AFL stars Steven May and Dion Prestia are set to be charged over an incident in Sorrento in the early hours of December 27.
According to a statement from Victoria Police, the pair are among three people expected to be charged over the matter, which saw two men taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
May and Prestia have previously denied wrongdoing over the incident, which occurred at around 2am outside the Continental Hotel on the Mornington Peninsula.

"Mornington Peninsula Crime Investigation Unit detectives have interviewed three men as part of their investigation into an affray in Sorrento on 27 December," a police statement read.
"The interviews follow a report to police about a physical altercation between two groups of men on Point Nepean Road about 2am.
"A 32-year-old man from Hawthorn, a 33-year-old man from Mount Eliza and a 26-year-old Blairgowrie man have all been interviewed in relation the incident.
"The trio are expected to be charged on summons."
Senior reporters Tom Morris and Mitch Cleary have both named May as the Mount Eliza man and Prestia as 32-year-old from Hawthorn.
It's understood the pair were celebrating a mutual friend's buck's party when the altercation occurred.
At the time, a Richmond spokesperson denied Prestia's involvement in any fight: "Prestia saw it happening but in no way was he involved," they said.
"They weren’t involved in any physical altercation."
