Wests Tigers have added firepower to their NRLW squad, securing the signatures of Faythe Manera, Caitlin Turnbull, and Lily Rogan ahead of the 2025 season. The three players have all committed to two-year deals, keeping them at the club until the end of 2026.

Manera, a 21-year-old half, brings a rugby union pedigree to the Tigers, having played for the Queensland Reds in Super Rugby Women’s and represented Australia in Rugby Sevens. She will link up with the squad following her union commitments next year.

“Coming from a rugby union background, I’m excited to step out of my comfort zone and give this new challenge a red hot crack,” Manera said. “The coaching staff and club have been so welcoming already. I’m really looking forward to getting down to Sydney come May 12th, meeting all the girls and getting right into pre-season.”

Youth and leadership boost for the Tigers

The Tigers have also secured the services of Lily Rogan, a young centre with leadership credentials. The 21-year-old captained the Illawarra Steelers to a premiership last season and made her NRLW debut for the Sydney Roosters in 2023.

“I really feel like I’m surrounded by people that are really passionate about this team,” Rogan said. “The girls and staff have been super welcoming and made it an easy transition. Training has already been super competitive, and I love that.”

Turnbull, a 23-year-old outside back, is another exciting addition. The former Wentworthville Magpies captain started her rugby league journey with the Monaro Colts and is eager to make her mark at the Tigers.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to grow as a player and learn from some of the best players and coaches in the league,” she said.

The Tigers will kick off their 2025 campaign in July with a Round 1 away clash against the Brisbane Broncos.
