The world no. 27 took an early lead in the match, easily claiming the first set, but was unable to maintain her momentum, with Keys finding another level as she qualified for her third Australian Open semi-final.
Although Svitolina was unable to progress to a maiden Australian Open semifinal, she’ll be going home with a significant payday.
