WWE:  Arrest warrant issued for WWE Superstar Heath Slater

In a strange bit of breaking news, Atlanta police have issued a warrant for the arrest of Heath Miller, who wrestles under the name Heath Slater with WWE.  The incident in question stems from a party following Wrestlemania 27 in 2011, nearly four years ago.

According to FOX-5 News in Atlanta, Slater is accused of attacking Corinne Oliver, a security guard at the event.  She accused Slater of “putting her in a chokehold” and trying to drag her back to his hotel room.  Oliver claims that she filed a report with her employer at the time, but nothing was done.  After three months of waiting, she decided to file a police report.

An initial warrant was requested in 2013 and denied, which makes it all the stranger that a second one would be approved a year later.  WWE’s legal department are calling it a “simple assault/battery”, and stress that any legal actions are against Slater in particular and not WWE.  Really, you’d think that after three years there’s not going to be much to this case anyway.

There is no word from WWE about any actions being taken by the company against Slater, although really it’s not like his career could get any worse. He’s a former multiple-time WWE tag team champion, but has most recently been a joke character with Three Man Band and now as half of Slater Gator with Titus O’Neil.
