No one knows quite yet what the future holds for Ricochet, having given notice that he would not sign a new deal with WWE and, as such, was written into a trip to the hospital following a beatdown at the hands of Bron Breakker. Chad Gable, however, will not suffer the same fate or anything similar, that is unless Otis finally does go beserk on the leader of the Alpha Academy.

But, even then, it won’t be the end of Gable because, as the former Olympian confirmed in an exclusive interview with Gorilla Position, he has officially signed a contract extension with WWE ahead of the looming expiration of his current deal.

"Yes, I have [re-signed]," said Gable.

That is terrific news for both Gable and WWE, considering the ongoing saga within the Alpha Academy — one that has also weaved WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn into the very fabric of the drama — is the best thing going at the promotion heading into the “Clash at the Castle” Premium Live Event in Scotland on Saturday, June 15.

The masterful heel turn by Gable was orchestrated by a creative department that is thriving in the post-Vince McMahon era, thanks in large part to Triple H and, given the added free agency of Becky Lynch and injury-related absences of top talent like Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair, locking Gable in was a top priority.

"What I'll say, regarding [Paul Levesque], when he got started with us and took over, I think you saw my trajectory change almost immediately,” Gable explained. “Even when I was in a tag team with Otis, I started getting singles matches with some of our top guys. To me, a light bulb went off: ‘Things might be different now.'

“They have been ever since.”

There’s an overwhelming consensus amongst both WWE fans and wrestlers that Levesque has swiftly changed the entire culture of the company for the better — from riveting storylines to the appreciation of a work-life balance for the talent — and Gable couldn’t see himself departing to test the grass on the other side of the fence.

For him, right now, the grass he’s standing on couldn’t be any greener.

Gable stopped short of revealing the length of his new deal, but the important thing is it's done and he couldn't be happier about the path he's been set on, one that has him doing the best work of his WWE career.

“He's delivered on everything he's ever told me,” said Gable of Triple H. “When I first came to him, [Otis and I] were floundering and not doing much. He said what he was doing was trying to find consistent places on TV for everybody every week. Whether it was a little chunk of TV or a big one, everyone should be involved at some point. At the time, I was like, 'I've heard all this before,' and it gets to you, but I saw it was true, and it was delivered.

“Even if we only had a minute or two every week, we were getting it and we were involved in something and maximizing our minutes. The fact that he delivers on what he says, it has gone a long way with someone like me. Now, that's paying off and I'm having the run of my life and I'm having a blast."

You know who else is having a blast with the new-look Gable?
