At the last WWE PLE, Bad Blood, chief content officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque announced two matches where the reigning WWE Champion faces the reigning WWE World Champion, for both men and women. The main belts are not on the line. The winner would become the first WWE Crown Jewel Champion.
Cody Rhodes, the Undisputed WWE Champion, will face World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. Meanwhile, on the women's side, Women's World Champion Liv Morgan will face WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax.
Also on the card, Seth "Freakin" Rollins and Bronson Reed face off in a grudge match. Reed kept Rollins out of the ring following multiple Tsunami attacks. Returning to action, Rollins is looking for a measure of revenge.
Meanwhile, the war between Roman Reigns and the new Bloodline rages on. The reunited Usos team with Reigns to take on Solo Sikoa, and two members of The Bloodline.
