Wrexham finished second in the EFL League Two table last season, which saw them earn promotion to League One.

The Welsh club are now just two levels down from the wealth and glamour of the Premier League, with the impact of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's takeover having transformed the club's fortunes in a few short years.

The 2024/25 season will see Wrexham bid to win another promotion, this time to the EFL Championship, but the challenges are only getting harder. League One contains former Premier League sides such as Charlton Athletic, Huddersfield Town, Bolton Wanderers and Birmingham City — the club part-owned by Tom Brady.

The Sporting News is tracking their fortunes throughout this season as they attempt to take another step towards the highest level of football in the UK.
