Italy takes on Israel on Matchday 4 of the UEFA Nations League group stage, at the Stadio Friuli in Udine, Italy on Monday.

The hosts enter the match after a bizarre 2-2 draw against Belgium a few days ago. The Italians were up 2-0 till Lorenzo Pellegrini was sent off, allowing the Belgians to sneak into the match and level the score. Italy however, still leads Group 2 with two wins and a draw to their name.

Israel has, so far, lost all the three Nations League matches. The latest was 4-1 defeat to France on Thursday.

Italy already had a long injury list, but now manager Luciano Spalletti will have to deal with the suspension of Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Federico Chiesa, Gianluca Scamacca, Moise Kean, Nicolo Barella and Giorgio Scalvini were not been named in the Italian squad for the international break due to injuries.

Meanwhile, Daniel Maldini, the son of Italian legend Paolo Maldini, could be handed a first international cap.

Italy predicted XI (3-3-2-2, right to left): Donnarumma (GK) — Di Lorenzo, Bastoni, Calafiori — Cambiaso, Fagioli, Ricci — Tonali, Dimarco — Raspadori, Retegui.

Israel captain Eli Dasa will be missing from the match due to injury, as will forward Dor Turgeman.

Also on the injury list is winger Manor Solomon. Oscar Gloukh could come into the team instead of Solomon.
