NFL picks, predictions Week 4: Miami Dolphins vs. Tennessee Titans image

The Tennessee Titans enter their Week 4 matchup against the Miami Dolphins in dire straights, as the Titans are one of three winless teams remaining after three weeks of the 2024 campaign.

After spending significant resources on both sides of the ball this offseason, the Titans haven't seen the dividends yet and fell further into the depths of despair following a 30-14 defeat at the hands of the Green Bay Packers in Week 3.

As if the struggles of the defense and quarterback Will Levis weren't bad enough, the Titans got smashed by their former third-round pick, quarterback Malik Willis, who the team traded to the Packers in August.

The Dolphins suffered their second straight defeat in Week 3, losing to the Seattle Seahawks, 24-3. Miami is currently trying to navigate life without Tua Tagovailoa, who suffered his latest concussion in Week 2. Making matters worse, the Dolphins might have to start yet another quarterback after Skylar Thompson got hurt.

Keep an eye on the Dolphins this week, as they may look to sign a quarterback. The best option out there by far is former Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill. If Miami does sign and start Tannehill, it would obviously add extra juice to this game.

Let's see what experts are saying about the Week 4 game between the Titans and Dolphins in their picks and predictions.

NFL picks, predictions Week 4: Dolphins vs. Titans

Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: Dolphins 24, Titans 17

Iyer: "The Dolphins would be smart to play Tyler Huntley at QB and attack the Titans with a heavy rushing attack. Huntley can also unlock Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle more at home. On the flip side, the Titans' post-Derrick Henry running game helps Miami, which will be positioned to flex its pass defense in prime time vs. Will Levis."

Bill Bender, Sporting News: Dolphins 23, Titans 20

Bender: "The Titans are in disaster-control mode. Tennessee has a -7 turnover ratio, and they have averaged just 16 points per game as a result. Skyler Thompson averaged 5.6 yards per attempt in his first start for Miami in Week 3, and, if his rib injury is healed, he will be asked to do more because the Titans have a tough run defense. It's a true pick 'em, but we'll favor the home team. Miami might be limited, but they are taking care of the football."

Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: Titans 25, Dolphins 21

Prisco: "The Titans are 0-3 and the Dolphins have major issues at quarterback without Tua Tagovailoa. Tennessee went into Miami and rallied last year to beat the Dolphins behind Will Levis. He hasn't been the same quarterback this year, turning it over too much, but I think he can have success in this one. The Titans will win it."

Jeremy Cluff, Arizona Republic: Titans 20, Dolphins 16

Cluff: "The Titans are favored in this game due to Miami's offensive struggles and quarterback situation. Will Levis will do enough in this game to get Tennessee in the win column."

Matt Johnson, Sportsnaut: Dolphins 13, Titans 10

Johnson: "A Miami Dolphins offense without Tua Tagovailoa, especially against this Tennessee Titans defense, will show how important the franchise QB is to Mike McDaniel’s system. Tennessee will be able to generate pressure and it does have the talent in the secondary to limit the frequency of explosive plays. Unfortunately for the Titans, Will Levis’ penchant for costly mistakes and the amount of speed on Miami’s offense swing this matchup."
