The Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets are inching closer to their Week 7 game at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday night and both teams released their final injury report on Friday, revealing five players have been ruled out and five are questionable between the two teams.
One name you won't see on the Steelers' injury report is quarterback Russell Wilson, who is not only healthy enough to play, he is expected to start. Head coach Mike Tomlin tried to keep it close to the vest, but wide receiver George Pickens ended that.
The Steelers will be without one key player on each side of the ball in center Zach Frazier and outside linebacker Nick Herbig. Frazier will be replaced by fellow center Ryan McCollum, while Herbig's absence will be padded by the return of fellow edge rusher Alex Highsmith.
Defensive lineman Montravius Adams was a late addition to the injury report on Friday and is questionable. Rookie Roman Wilson, who finally made his debut last week, is also questionable, but the fact that he only logged limited sessions means he's probably not going to play.
For the Jets, they won't have cornerback Michael Carter, who is the only player ruled out for New York. Two starters, cornerback D.J. Reed and tight end Tyler Conklin, are both questionable. Reed is a game-time decision, head coach Jeff Ulbrich revealed. Conklin had a full practice on Friday, so he appears to be on track to play.
One Jets player who will definitely suit up is wide receiver Davante Adams, who is over his hamstring issue and has no designation. His debut will add a bit more juice to this one, especially after the Steelers were pursuing a trade for him.
