The New York Jets have been without their veteran starting right tackle since the final play of the third quarter in a Week 3 win over the New England Patriots

Morgan Moses went down with a knee injury that initially looked worse than it turned out to be. Reports suggested Moses sprained his MCL and would miss anywhere from two to four weeks

The 33-year-old Moses, who had played 100 percent of offensive snaps up until the September 19 injury, returned to practice in a limited capacity last Thursday prior to the Jets' departure for London. Seemingly needing more time in the recovery process, Moses was subsequently ruled out for the second week in a row.

Back on the field in Florham Park, Moses was officially listed as a limited participant on the first injury report leading up to the October 14 matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich provided an update on the grizzled veteran prior to Thursday's practice.

"Morgan has the knee, on track to play, fired up," said Ulbrich. "What an amazing guy Morgan is. He brings so much juice, energy, culture, beyond just the player that he is. Fired up that he's going to be back with us."

Moses played in all 17 games for the 2021 Jets before spending two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. He returned to New York via trade this past spring.

First-round rookie Olu Fashanu has made two starts in place of Moses. The Penn State product struggled trying to check NFL edge rushers thus far. Through five weeks, Pro Football Focus has assigned Fashanu a below-average 49.0 grade.
