The New England Patriots are ready to take on the Houston Texans on Sunday at Gillette Stadium, but before the game starts, they're making a pair of moves.

On Friday, New England signed long snapper Tucker Addington and defensive lineman Marcus Harris, according to The Boston Herald's Doug Kyed.

Addington, 27, should be a familiar name for Patriots fans, as he's spent two stints with the team in 2022 and earlier this year. He also spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, Washington Commanders and the UFL's Houston Gamblers.

Harris, 24, played collegiately at Kansas (2019-20) and Auburn (2021-23) before the Texans drafted him in the seventh round this year. He was released from Houston's practice squad earlier this week.

The Patriots had two open practice squad spots entering Friday, so they don't need to make a move to fit them in, but they might later in the day.
