Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell was recently forced to sell his home after his address became public knowledge, which led to people showing up at his private residence.

According to Nick Manes of Crain's Detroit Business, Campbell's home quickly sold for $4.5 million once it hit the market. Campbell explained what led to his selling the home, which was purchased by a Lions fan, per the article.

“The neighborhood, everything,” Campbell said of what he loved about the house. “There’s plenty of space, it’s on 2 acres, the home is beautiful. It’s just that people figured out where we lived when we lost.”

On Friday, Campbell was asked about the situation while addressing the media but didn't want to go into detail. He did make it clear, however, that he doesn't hold what happened against Lions fans.

"No disrespect, I don't even want to go there with any of it," Campbell said, per Eric Woodyard of ESPN. "It's all good. Man, I've got a job to do. My primary job here is to coach this team and have them prepared every week."

"Our fans are unbelievable," he added. "There's nowhere that I would want to be or any other team that I'd want to coach for. It's rare to have an environment like we have."

What happened to Campbell is ugly and simply unacceptable. Public figures like the Lions head coach have a right to their privacy when away from their jobs and should not be harassed in this manner.

It's always important to not allow a few bad apples to spoil the bunch, though. The Lions have an amazing fan base and a miniscule percentage of idiots doesn't change that.
