The Cincinnati Bengals (2-4) bounced back with a 17-7 win over the New York Giants (2-4) at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night.
Though they entered the game as heavy road favorites, the Bengals gave the Giants plenty of chances to steal a win at home.
In the end, however, the Bengals were able to make enough plays on both sides of the ball to avoid an upset loss on the road.
While Joe Burrow got the party started with a 47-yard rushing touchdown on the opening drive, the Bengals offense sputtered before final putting the dagger in the Giants' heart late in the fourth quarter.
The defense had a solid game for the most part, generating regular pressure on Daniel Jones while keeping the Giants from consistently converting on third down.

Keys to the game
- Chase Brown's dagger 30-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter put the game away. This came immediately after Brown almost lost a fumble.
- It was a tough battle all night, but Trey Hendrickson had some success against Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas, including two sacks and a handful of pressures.
- The Bengals were just 4-of-11 on third-down attempts and failed to score a touchdown on their only trip inside the red zone.
Stars of the Game
- DE Trey Hendrickson: A force throughout the entire night, Hendrickson finished with 2.0 sacks, three quarterback hits and two tackles for loss.
- DT BJ Hill: A revenge game for Hill, the massive defensive tackle recorded two quarterback hits and two batted passes. One of his quarterback hits led to an interception int he red zone.
- WR Tee Higgins: On a relatively quiet night for Ja'Marr Chase (5-72), Higgins came through with several big catches, leading the way with seven receptions on seven targets for 77 yards.
Quick Hits
- This is the second time in which the Bengals won a game without Joe Burrow throwing for a touchdown (Week 3, 2020).
- The Bengals defense allowed single-digit points for the first time in 76 games.
- Chase Brown once again led the backfield with 10 carries while also seeing three targets. Meanwhile, Zack Moss had six carries for 13 yards and one reception for two yards.
- Andrei Iosivas came through with a huge 29-yard catch on third down that helped set up Chase Brown's dagger touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

The Bengals will be on the road in Week 6 to visit the Cleveland Browns (1-5) at Huntington Bank Field on Sunday, Oct. 20.
