Jameson Williams is in the midst of a breakout season in 2024 but the Detroit Lions wide receiver is now reportedly facing a two-game suspension.

According to ESPN's Eric Woodyard, Williams' possible suspension comes from a violation of the NFL's Performance-Enhancing Substances policy.

Williams told Woodyard that he has “no choice but to take it on the chin,” and added that "I’m in good spirits just ready to get back with my brothers as soon as possible.”

With the Alabama product sidelined, the Lions will need veteran wideouts Tim Patrick and Kalif Raymond to step up. Patrick has done a good job stepping into Detroit's No. 3 role this season. The Lions also have Isaiah Williams and Allen Robinson on the roster and they could both get more run.

A 2022 first-round pick of the Lions, Williams' career got off to a slow start over his first two seasons. However, Williams has turned the corner in 2024 and has become the No. 2 option in Detroit's passing attack behind Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Williams totaled 17 receptions for 361 yards and three touchdowns over six games, with all three ranking second on the team.

It goes without saying that losing him is a blow to the Lions' offense, but Detroit is also in a good enough spot with depth at the position and its overall bevy of weapons to get through two games without Williams.
