The Detroit Lions won their Week 3 game against the Arizona Cardinals, but it came at a price, as several players suffered injuries during the contest that forced them off the field.

Two players who were unable to return from their injuries during the game were defensive lineman Alim McNeill and linebacker Derrick Barnes. McNeill suffered a shoulder injury, while Barnes is dealing with a knee injury. Both players were ruled out after sustaining their injuries.

Following the game, head coach Dan Campbell said he didn't think either injury was season-ending, but also said he couldn't promise that either player won't miss time.

“I can’t say they’re not going to be long-term," Campbell said of McNeill's and Barnes' injuries, according to Jeff Risdon of Lions Wire. "But I don’t feel like it’s something where we’re worried about season-ending.”

On top of those two, tight end Sam LaPorta (ankle), cornerback Terrion Arnold (knee), defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike (leg) and defensive back Brian Branch (concussion) all exited the contest with injuries. Branch was the only one who didn't return, though, and is now in the concussion protocol.

LaPorta had a scary moment after his ankle got rolled up on in the second quarter. The young tight end hobbled to the sideline before being carted to the locker room, leaving fans extremely worried.

He returned to the game, but LaPorta does have a sprained ankle, Campbell said, and ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that it's of the low-ankle variety as opposed to a high-ankle sprain that is a multi-week injury, so that's good news.

Safe to say, the Lions are going to have a lengthy injury report when they release their first on Thursday ahead of a "Monday Night Football" matchup against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4.
