When it comes to injuries, almost nobody in the league has had it worse than former Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen in recent years.
After making a significant impact with the Bears early in his career, Cohen suffered multiple serious injuries that have completely derailed his career, including a torn ACL in 2020 and a torn Achilles' tendon in 2022.
He resurfaced on the Carolina Panthers' practice squad in 2023 but didn't get into any games before being released. Now, Cohen is getting his next opportunity, as he's signing with the New York Jets, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Jets are signing free-agent RB Tarik Cohen to a one-year deal, per source. Cohen was one of the NFL’s top return specialists and a receiving threat before injuries derailed his career. Cohen last played in the NFL in 2020, but now will attempt his comeback with the Jets. pic.twitter.com/7lBjqEt1Sc

The former Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro was an explosive playmaker as a runner, receiver and returner with the Bears, but it remains to be seen what Cohen has left in the tank after so many serious injuries, and with his being three years removed from his last snap in the NFL.
The Jets have no shortage of question marks at the running back position behind Breece Hall, and they need more options for return jobs, giving Cohen a decent chance to stick.
