Get ready, college football fans — the LA Bowl returns to SoFi Stadium this December, and football legend Rob Gronkowski will be playing host!
An annual FBS bowl game at SoFi in Inglewood, California, the LA Bowl originated in December 2021. The bowl has tie-ins with the Mountain West and Pac-12 conferences, with Pac-12 "legacy schools" eligible for the Pac-12 tie-in through the 2025 season.
Last year's LA Bowl will be a tough act to follow. The UCLA Bruins offered some hometown flair, repping the Pac-12 well with a 35-22 over the Boise State Broncos of the Mountain West.

Tickets for the 2024 LA Bowl are available now on StubHub, but they're selling fast so you might want to grab yours soon before the prices rise.
As of Nov. 1, dozens of tickets could be found in the price range of $50-$75 each.
Once the playoff teams are decided and the matchups are set in stone for the bowl games, costs will likely rise again as fans flock to Los Angeles to see their team in the LA Bowl.

One of the last events on the 2024 sports calendar, the LA Bowl will take place on Dec. 18 at 6:00 p.m. ET. The annual bowl game has been held in mid-December for each of the past four years of its existence.
Who will play in the LA Bowl 2024?
The teams that will play in the 2024 LA Bowl have not yet been decided, but we should know by the playoff selection day on Dec. 8. Stay tuned to see who heads to Inglewood to be a part of this fairly new yearly tradition.
College Football Playoff 2024-25 format, bracket
In this year's CFP, the top-four teams will earn a bye to the quarterfinals while seeds 5-12 will play a first round game. The top teams will be the top-ranked conference winners. While the LA Bowl is not a part of the CFP, it will most likely feature two solid teams that don't make the CFP.
On Dec. 8, Selection Day, the committee will assign games to the 12 teams headed to the playoffs. For those headed straight to the quarterfinals, they will play one of four bowl games: Fiesta Bowl, Rose Bowl, Peach Bowl and Sugar Bowl. Bowl designations will be determined based on geographical location and a team's historical relationship to the game.
The semifinals will be played at the Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl while the national championship will be in Atlanta.
Because of the elimination-style bracket, participating teams and matchups will not be revealed until the playoffs commence and teams win their way through each round.
