Analyst backs Arch Manning, firmly suggests Texas QB Quinn Ewers to "sit this one out" in the wake of viral 247 Sports controversy image

Georgia humiliated Texas with a 15-point lead win on Saturday and now, Texas's QB Quinn Ewers is getting all the heat for it. On 21 October, 247 Sports' Instagram page made a stirring claim of Ewers sitting out the rest of the season.

Although the news was proved fake within minutes and deleted, it still put Ewers in the crosshairs of the analysts, who wanted to see backup quarterback Arch Manning start instead of Ewers. The controversy just gave them another reason.

"If Arch Manning came out winning a close call game against Georgia, Quinn Ewers would have never started another game this season unless something would have happened to Arch," the host of East Coast Gridiron said.

"Like dude, we heard the rumors this week. Nobody knows if they're true but Quinn, sit this one out. It's all good. We got what we got. We appreciate your services but we're gonna roll with Arch."

Ewers would have seen the hate coming from a mile away after Georgia humbled them with a 23-0 lead in halftime. However, the Texas QB1 has proved himself throughout the seasons with HC Sarkisian, and the fans who believe in him expect the duo to rise and shine again.

Quinn Ewers confirms he is not getting benched

Shortly after the fiasco, the Texas QB gave his statement, debunking the fake news.

First, it was Ewers' representative Ron Slavin who cleared out the confusion. "A report about Quinn Ewers leaving Texas for the NFL Draft is not true, per Ewers’ representative Ron Slavin. Ewers practiced today and is focused on Vanderbilt,” Pete Thamel reported on X.

Later, Ewers also confirmed Slavin's statement through his Instagram stories as he posted a meme of former United States President Donald Trump with the text “Fake News." (h/t Next Impulse Sports)

The hosts of East Coast Gridiron might not be fans of the news, but Ewers is expected to start their next game against the sensation of the season Vanderbilt.
