Houston guard James Harden is coming off a career-high 61-point performance last week against the Spurs. He scored more than half of the Rockets' points in the 111-105 victory. The Rockets fell to the Bucks on Tuesday, but they had won 16 of their previous 18 games.
Meanwhile, the Nuggets defeated the Pistons, 95-92, on Tuesday night. Jamal Murray came up clutch with 33 points to help Denver avoid blowing a 27-point lead. Nikola Jokic contributed a double-double with 23 points and 15 rebounds.
Denver will try to shut down "The Beard" in its matchup against Houston after Harden had a team-high 30 points and nine assists the last time the Nuggets and Rockets met.
