Ngannou (17-3) is considered the lineal UFC heavyweight champion after he exited the UFC in 2023 following contract disputes. “The Predator” signed with the PFL after but has mainly competed in boxing fights. It is his first contest within the SmartCage.
With 12 wins via knockout, Ngannou was once considered the most feared man in MMA. Competing for the first time since 2022, he is ready to remind everyone why, against someone he sees a little bit of himself in Ferreira.
“I don’t know. He is very athletic. He’s very skilled, well-rounded,” Ngannou said to CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri via MMA News. “But I think whatever it is, it’s a little less than me [laughs]. He is a little less version of me, I would say so.”
Ferreira (13-3, 3 NC) has eleven wins via knockout. The Brazilian has not lost a fight for the PFL since 2022, winning the PFL heavyweight tournament in 2023. It took less than a minute for “Problema” to take out Ryan Bader to secure a shot at Ngannou.
