Red Sox exec predicts incredible future for underrated prospect image

Boston Red Sox Director of Player Development Brian Abraham thinks that infielder prospect Chase Meidroth is a future superstar, per SoxProspects.com. Meidroth is currently ranked no. 9 in the Red Sox farm system.

“He’s a guy to me who could have a 10+ year big league career, multiple All-Stars, and is hoisting up the World Series trophy multiple times.”

In three seasons across the minors through A to AAA, Meidroth has batted .285/.425/.408/.833, with 20 homers, 44 doubles, and 30 stolen bases. He also saw action at second, third, and shortstop.

SoxProspects.com has him as a second baseman primarily, which makes the Red Sox seem to have a bunch of young talent at the position that has had a hole in it since Dustin Pedroia.

The website also has him as a contact hitter with below average power, but it seems Abraham thinks he can evolve at the Major League level.

Meidroth is projected to make it to The Show in early 2025, along with Roman Anthony, Kristian Campbell, Marcelo Mayer, and Kyle Teel.
