Mike Tyson betting news, analysis

Tyson will be the third oldest fighter to ever step foot in a ring when he squares off with Paul. He will be 58 years old at the time of the bout, younger than only Steve Ward and Jack Johnson, who retired at 61 and 60 years old, respectively. Ward currently owns the Guinness World Record as the world’s oldest boxer.

Due to Tyson’s age, there are obvious questions about his stamina and ability to take a shot from the younger Paul, who has racked up knockouts in his short, controversial boxing career. Fortunately for Tyson, the time he has been out of the ring isn’t as vast as many may think. He last fought in late 2020 against the renowned Roy Jones Jr. Tyson was 54 and Jones Jr. was 51 at the time.

Tyson stalked Jones Jr. for most of that fight, forcing him to retreat for large chunks of the bout. It went to the judges, who declared the fight a split draw. The result drew the ire of fans and spectators as many thought Tyson did more than enough to win. Although that was nearly four years ago and he is much older, Tyson has shown that he keeps himself in shape for these types of opportunities and shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Jake Paul betting news, analysis

The left overhand hook is Paul’s deadliest punch, and it has sent many of his competitors to the mat. However, in his one bout against an actual professional boxer (Tommy Fury), he couldn’t land that punch, leading to him losing on the cards for the first and only loss of his boxing career. Although he held his own, it wasn’t enough.

Tyson is much older, but he is still one of the best to ever put the gloves on. He has the experience and knowledge to avoid Paul’s go-to weapon and force the fight to go the distance. With experience and short rounds on his side, the 58-year-old could pull off the upset. The aggression of both fighters will determine a lot.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson prediction

Due to the lack of experience of Paul’s opponents and the fear of his power, no one has dared bring the fight to Paul. Tyson is incredibly aggressive and is highly likely to do so in multiple rounds. Even if he doesn’t get the knockout, forcing Paul into retreat once he gets a taste of Tyson’s power is quite possible. Tyson as an underdog, even at nearly 60 years of age, is too good of a wager to pass on. We’re going Tyson by decision.
