Valencia have bought f***ing s*** players, says ex-president image

Former Valencia president Paco Roig has launched a stinging attack on the club's administration, accusing those in charge of squandering money on sub-standard players.

The Spanish giants are currently battling against relegation to the second-tier, as they sit level on points with 18th-placed Sporting Gijon in the winter break.

Cesare Prandelli, meanwhile, became the third Che coach to be sacked or resign during 2016 alone when he threw in the towel in December, leaving the club mired in chaos.

Roig focused his criticisms on Valencia sporting director Suso Garcia Pitarch, while he also had some choice words for Gary Neville's ill-fated spell on the bench.

"Mr Garcia Pitarch has to go because he has f***ed up this team. Garcia Pitarch only says stupid things and he has brought in some f***ing s*** players," the ex-president fired to Mundo Deportivo

"What has Garcia Pitarch done to be running Spain's third club? I am pissed off with so many lies. He says he is going but they won't let him... just go!"

The former chief also criticised owner Peter Lim, suggesting that the businessman had a limited knowledge of the game.

"This gentleman, why does he have to take the team to Singapore? Does he know anything about football?" he said.

"Prandelli had to go running home. The other guy that came who was a radio commentator [in reference to Sky Sports pundit Neville], he was one of the worst I've seen as a coach.

"The English guy, Gary Neville, he also had to go running home."

And Roig rounded off his attack with some harsh thoughts on misfiring striker Rodrigo.

"Why would you sign a player for €30m who is s***? Rodrigo isn't worth €30m even if he was filled with wine," he joked.

"Valencia are f*****, badly.  This is a disaster. As much is it pains me, they look dead to me."
