Former LSU star Hailey Van Lith is back in Baton Rouge for her first game with the Chicago Sky against the Brazilian National Team. Van Lith spent her 2023-2024 college season at LSU before transferring to TCU for her final year. She was later drafted 11th overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft.

As she and former LSU teammate, now Sky teammate, Angel Reese return to their old stomping grounds, Van Lith has some valuable advice for LSU’s newest transfer guard, MiLaysia Fulwiley, who’s already making waves before even stepping foot on the court for her LSU debut.

MiLaysia Fulwiley, widely regarded as one of the best transfers out of the portal, has had an impressive start to her college career. In just two seasons, she’s reached the championship game in both, securing one title as a freshman, though she fell short in her second attempt. With a desire to continue her championship chase, Fulwiley’s decision to transfer to LSU speaks volumes about her ambition. After contributing to back-to-back championship appearances at South Carolina, it might seem surprising she’d leave her previous program, but Fulwiley is ready for a new challenge.

Van Lith, the only player in NCAA history to lead three teams to the Elite Eight, shared some advice for Fulwiley, who will be a junior this coming season at LSU.

“Enjoy the atmosphere that LSU provides,” Van Lith said. She emphasized how rare and special the atmosphere at LSU is, pointing out the university's stunning campus and the passionate support from Tiger fans. “The atmosphere around women’s basketball is next level,” she added.

With that, anticipation is high as fans look forward to Hailey Van Lith's return to LSU's Pete Maravich Assembly Center. They’re even more excited to see what Fulwiley will bring to the court in her upcoming season as a Tiger.
