Teams often produce incredible productions to announce rebrands or new names. This trend has only become more popular and important with the rise of social media.

Utah Hockey Club might have accidentally jumped a few steps altogether.

A fan who was scrolling through the team's YouTube channel noticed the handle read "UtahMammoth" instead of "Utah Hockey Club."

That would be one — unorthodox way —  to reveal the team’s new name.

The potential leak spread across social media, causing the entire YouTube channel to now be deleted.

When asked for a comment, Mike Maughan, an executive at Smith Entertainment Group, which owns the team, said that the club is "Fully on track to announce a permanent name and identity ahead of the 25–26 NHL season," per ESPN.

The team is currently choosing between the  Utah Mammoth, Utah Outlaws and Utah Hockey Club — but it looks like we might have a winner.

The team also recently announced a plan to revamp its stadium — which in its inaugural year was not completely suited for hockey.

“The work has already begun for this offseason and will continue right through to our first home preseason game,” General Manager Bill Armstrong said. “Lots of work to be done over the next several summers to optimize the building for hockey.”

Utah finished sixth in the Central Division with a 38-31-13 record and 89 points. They'll hope to improve on that next season under their new name.
