DeMar DeRozan fight: Kings star gets into physical altercation with fan at sushi restaurant image

DeMar DeRozan was involved in a physical altercation at a sushi restaurant in Calabasas, California, on Friday, according to TMZ.

A 28-second video released on Saturday appears to show DeRozan snatching a cell phone away from another man inside the restaurant, and the altercation escalating from there. The unidentified patron had allegedly shoved his phone with a bright light in DeRozan's face. Police responded to the incident at around 10:30 p.m. local time.

DeRozan and the Kings were eliminated from the NBA Play-In Tournament on Wednesday with a 120-106 loss to the Mavericks. The small forward was traded to Sacramento from Chicago at this year's trade deadline.

In the video, DeRozan is seen lunging at the other man, who was lying on the floor inside the restaurant, and grabbing his phone.

A woman is heard telling DeRozan to “let him go.” When the man gets to his feet, he can be heard yelling, "Give me my phone."

The man who instigated the incident also released a video on Friday. He can be seen approaching DeRozan at a table before the small forward knocks his phone away.

At the end of the video, the man appears to be sitting in the back of an ambulance, with a large gash on the side of his head.
